`Intertwined phenomena`
part one
installation/ sculptures
Intertwined phenomena explores the future in which art is made. Set in the French department of Haute-Savoie, woolen sculptures
will arise from a zero-waste standpoint. Materials are sourced locally and with the intention to give back to the community, the mountain-roaming shepherds in particular.
Due to the lack of a production chain, all the wool in the region is burned every year. Combined with the folktales that are still relevant in the region today, we (Edo Verhoeff and Dewi Vingerling) are going highlight this European-wide problem in a series of recidencies, of which Haute-Savoie, France is our first stop.
